Facebook Home Download Mark Hits 1 M Finally

A month after Facebook Home release, it finally hits 1 million downloads, according to download numbers at Google Play. The app has been awarded a cumulative two-star review from the more than 16,000 reviews on its Google Play page.

But the launcher was heavily criticized by users and was poorly rated in Google’s Play Store after the release of Facebook Home. The social network’s software suite for Android achieved its first 500,000 downloads in its first 10 days out in the wild, Facebook Home took twice as long to log another 500,000 downloads, indicating an apparent waning demand.

The latest Facebook Home update includes the following changes:
1:More “Blue’s Clues” pop-up prompts to educate users.
2:Chat Heads improvements that make chatting more seamless with fewer steps.
3:Subfolders within the app dock, kind of like you see in the iOS app launcher.
4:A new, full-screen interface for your dock of apps.

Additional, Facebook has also said that it is carefully going through most of the valuable reviews and feedbacks given by users on Play Store and has promised that in the upcoming updates it would probably make the necessary changes that users are suggesting. The social network released an update to the app it hopes will address some of those user complaints. In addition to bug fixes, the new version won’t block sideloading, a process for transferring the app from supported devices to nonsupported devices.
